Silcox Hut & Mt. Hood Climb
Want a once-in-a-lifetime adventure? How about at 7,000 feet high on Mt. Hood? This one-night stay for 16 people at Silcox Hut has epic written all over it. You and your guests will be transported from Timberline Lodge by Sno-Cat. Upon arrival settle into the Silcox great room, which features a fireplace, hand-carved furniture, and a kitchen with bar. Your overnight stay includes family-style dinner and breakfast prepared and served by your hut host. The sleeping accommodations are rustic and cozy, with six rooms featuring multiple bunk configurations to create a summer camp-like experience. Weather permitting, you can ski downhill after breakfast the next morning, or hop aboard the Sno-Cat for a return trip to Timberline. For the adventurous among you, Beginning School parent Mike Wilson will lead a trip to summit Mt. Hood. Silcox Hut guests are also welcome to use the facilities at Timberline Lodge, which include the pool, sauna, spa, and showers.
